Big Brother Big Sister
Big Brother Big Sister
Background: Big Brother Big Sister is an after school mentoring program that is a part of the National Big Brother Big Sister program. Every Monday we go over to Budlong Elementary School to spend time with our "Littles". During the course of the year you will be partnered with a single child in need of a positive role model in their life and you will build a relationship with this child.
Focus: BBBS focuses on building meaningful relationships with students who don't come from stable houses. Volunteers are partnered with a single child to become their mentor. We try to instill into the students a sense of responsibility, duty, and compassion.
Time Commitment: Every Monday from 2:45-400pm. BBBS requires a full year commitment.
Site Requirements: BBBS requires an application to be filled out, a background check to be completed, and an interview to be conducted. BBBS also requires that you miss no more than 2 sessions during the school year, except in cases of emergency.
Majors: All are welcome.
