Join Hindustani Social Services as they care for the poor through education, healthcare and public-health initiatives in urban and rural India. We will be working with a small medical clinic in a village near the city of Solapur. As a group, you will also learn about and work with medical and community-health initiatives of the Hindustani Covenant Church.
All students are welcome to apply, although This trip is primarily for nursing and education students. Class credit may be available for upperclassmen.
Formed in 1963, the Hindustani Covenant Church has since established multiple ministries to meet tangible needs of the people of India, including schools, the Solapur Well Service in the drought region of Solapur, and St. Luke's Medical Society. The two health centers of the St. Luke's ministry are committed to providing health services to the poor and marginalized.
