Community Service Day 2014

As you have heard every week at Chapel and collegelife, this semester we are talking about why the word THEREFORE is so prominent throughout the Bible. The INDICATIVES of our faith inevitably and organically lead us to IMPERATIVES. For example, because God is a God of compassion, mercy, and justice, followers of Christ must stand for the same by serving others and moving towards what is equitable and right. It is out of this truth that we are asking all of our Umin leaders to serve our community by participating in our annual Service Day on October 11, 9:00am-1:00pm. Service Day is the one day of the year where the North Park community comes together to serve a community that has given so much to us. There will be a variety of different opportunities including singing at Swedish Covenant Hospital, helping with grounds maintenance at Hibbard Elementary, singing and playing board games with residents at Covenant Homes senior community, working in the community garden, and a Community Clean-up Dorm Competition.
In the spirit of serving others, we are also asking our Umin leaders to support the football team by cheering them on as they play North Central College. The game begins at 1:00pm immediately after lunch.

Breakfast and lunch will also be provided for everyone. Breakfast will start at 8:30am. Please sign up
