It's that time again at NPU. The Sankofa experience combines readings, films, class lectures, conversations and culminates in a 60-hour bus pilgrimage, not unlike the historic Freedom Rides of the Civil Rights Movement. Focusing on the cultural constructions of race (i.e. "whiteness" to "blackness"), we explore the dimensions of the struggle for racial justice during the Civil Rights era and its contemporary implications. We also seek to provide experiences that lead to personal transformation regarding the difficult questions surrounding race and justice. This is the final week to sign up for Sankofa!
