GLOBAL PARTNERSHIPS
Global Partnerships focuses on 5 values: Missio Dei, Prayer & Worship, Service & Advocacy, Diversity &Culture, and Hospitality & Community. As we partner with people around the world our hope is that students would have a change of mind and heart towards pursuing a lifestyle of justice. We do this by focusing our program on 3 areas:
- Education – we teach students about issues facing people in the world and their responsibility as global citizens.
- Relationships – when we know someone of a different nationality, we read the news differently, think of justice issues in that country differently and spend our money differently because we now have a personal connection.
- Collaboration – We pursue projects and locations where we can continue visiting and where we are working together to meet needs.
We do this by pursuing partnerships with churches, orphanages and humanitarian organizations in different regions of the world, including cities in the USA, Alaska, Haiti, Ecuador, Mexico, India, Thailand and Zambia. Teams are sent to our partnering locations over winter, spring and summer breaks. We also coordinate campus wide events or projects that spread awareness about issues that each area faces.
Global Partnerships is successful because we have committed undergraduate leaders and seminary advisors facilitating the partnership experiences. Please view the descriptions for these leadership positions here:
